A Keyport-based cannabis retailer is bringing its second dispensary to Morris County as part of an expansion two years after launching its first location.
Premo opened Premo Dover on July 8. The family-owned company opened its flagship dispensary in Keyport in 2024 and has built its business around customer service, promotional campaigns and vendor partnerships, according to a news release.
"This isn't simply the opening of a second store, it's the next chapter of our company," said Darrin Chandler Jr., CEO of Premo. "Everything we've learned over the past two years in Keyport has led to this moment. We're excited to bring the Premo experience to Dover and continue building one of New Jersey's premier independent cannabis companies."
The new store will offer the same programs Premo established at its Keyport location, including in-house products, vendor partnerships and community events.

Premo Dover will host a month-long grand opening celebration in July with 30-percent discounts on a special menu featuring Garden Greens, Fernway, Find and Select products. The main grand opening weekend runs July 17-19 with 40% discounts on the special menu and one-eighth-ounce portions for $1 for the first 750 customers each day, the company said.
On Saturday, July 18, the store will feature a Colonial Grill food truck from noon to 3 p.m., along with a DJ and vendor events throughout the day.
Premo Cannabis Company is a certified minority-owned business, according to the store's website. Owners Donald Blanks and Skye Blanks started the company in 2022.
"As a New Jersey certified Minority Business Enterprise, we recognize that minorities have been disproportionately impacted by enforcement of drug laws, regulations and policies," the company's website says. "Premo is committed to providing quality employment opportunities for all and will strive to ensure that disproportionately impacted individuals have the opportunity to be employed by us."
The Dover store is located at 330 South Salem St., Suite 6. The store is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
